This lovely little house – a typical Finnish log cabin – is entirely built from logs. It lies in the yard of a reindeer herder’s house, on the edge of a beautiful lake in between Rovaniemi and Pello. Here you can enjoy peace and quiet with plenty of opportunities for activities – whatever season you choose to visit.
The cabin is very cozy due to the visible logs and the characteristic stone fireplace. The small open kitchen is fully equipped with fridge, electric stove with oven, microwave and dishwasher. Note that the adjoining bedroom is equipped with a narrow (120 cm) double bed.
A traditional Finnish log cabin is incomplete without a wood-fired sauna. The porch provides access to the dressing room (with shower and toilet) and sauna. Cool down on the porch or – after just a few steps – splash in the lake. A private hot tub can be rented at an additional cost.
This romantic cottage for two is ideal in all seasons: in summer the lake beckons for rowing, swimming or sup-boarding. Explore the area on foot or rent a fat bike. Experience nature changing its color during Ruska – the Finnish version of Indian Summer – and go pick berries in the forest. Alternatively enjoy Winter wonderland by snowmobile or husky sledge!
