You will find this attractive cottage hidden in the vast birch and pine forests, between the cities of Rovaniemi and Pello. Here you can enjoy the feeling of being far away from civilization, with the city of Rovaniemi and Santa Claus Village just less than an hour drive away.
This spacious and comfortable cottage is located on the land of a reindeer herder, along with four other cottages, all of which are scattered with lots of privacy. You will likely have reindeer visitors around your cottage! In winter time, you can even help feeding the reindeer.
The bright, spacious living room with fireplace has a fully equipped, open kitchen. Do you not feel like cooking yourself? The Landlady’s Menu offers a great solution: enjoy ‘pre-order room service’ in the privacy of your own cottage! On the ground floor, there are also two bedrooms and a sauna with adjoining bathroom. The stairs lead to the loft with four beds.
At the edge of the lake there is a ‘kota’, a hut where you can sit comfortably around an open fire. There also is a traditional, wood-fired private sauna. In summer the use of this sauna is included, in winter this is at an optional additional cost. For some extra pampering, consider renting a private hot tub.
There are two cottages of this same type, located approximately 80 meters apart. Ideal if you are travelling with friends or family and prefer to have your own privacy. The interior of the cottages differs.
