Finnish Hideaways offers a special stay in one of the AuroraHut®’s glass igloos, located on the shores of scenic Lake Ranua in the village of Ranua, in southern Lapland. An overnight stay in one of the igloos combines luxury accommodation with being close to nature, but without having too much impact on nature, so green tourism! The igloos are located at the lake shore, close to a guesthoue where you can have breakfast and where you can use the bathroom facilities. Your comfortable octagonal glass igloo is equipped with a double bed, small kitchenette and toilet. Spending time in the igloo is an experience in itself, because of the panoramic views, but the location also offer the opportunity to visit Ranua Zoo, the northernmost zoo in the world, where you can see all kinds of arctic animals in their natural habitat. Don’t forget to visit the Fazer Shop just nearby, where you can buy Finnish-made chocolate!
