Tiny houses are becoming more and more popular, especially when it comes to special holiday accommodations. This small but comfortable house lies hidden in the forests around Rovaniemi. Here you can enjoy nature, as a couple or an individual, without having to give up on any modern comfort.
It’s all about the outdoors here. Because of the expansive nature around (there is no other house in the nearby area) and its location on a private pond, but also because it feels like the outdoors comes in through the windows. You can enjoy your own piece of wilderness in summer whilst picking berries or swimming naked in your own pond, while in winter you will get enchanted by white Winter Wonderland.
You enter this tiny house of only 20m2 through a spacious veranda. The small living room is furnished with a pull-out sofa bed, a high table with chairs and has a kitchenette with an electric four-burner stove, extractor hood, oven, refrigerator and microwave. The sofa bed has a drawer underneath where you can store your luggage. For more space to move around, you can also slide the second bed under the sofa during the day and store the bed linen in the drawer. Despite the limited living space, it still feels spacious due to the windows and the use of light colors.
Shower and toilet are located in the adjacent bathroom. There is also a sink, washing machine and dryer. A Finnish home is not complete without a sauna. Despite its limited dimensions, this tiny house also features a comfortable, electric sauna. After a relaxing sauna, you can take a dip in your own pond in summer or cool off in the snow or on the veranda in winter.
This tiny house is (as the crow flies) not far from the small-scale husky farm of Aksana and Antti Kurola of Husky & Yoga Nature. This offers the unique opportunity to start a private husky safari from your own little home in winter, how special is that!
