For us, Lapland is synonymous with tranquility, space and nature, which can be found in abundance in the vast forests around Rovaniemi. You can fully enjoy this from one of our hidden cabins, but if you don’t want to depend on a rental car of if you prefer to stay centrally in the city, but still looking for a special and characteristic place, this hideaway is a gem!
This historic, traditional log house is located in the center of Rovaniemi, yet it almost feels like you are in the countryside. The distinctive red buildings with characteristic white windows have a rich history. In the 1920s, there was a knife factory and workshop on this site, where knives and traditional Lappish handicrafts were made. The old buildings have been respectfully renovated into a special guest house with five different, very attractive studios and a shop where you can find special, handmade Lappish and Sami items. In the adjacent workshop you can see how various items, e.g. made of reindeer antlers, are handcrafted according to the Sami and Lappish tradition.
